"Several years ago when I was in my mid fifties I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. At the time I was osteopenotic which means just before full blown osteoporosis.  Just two years later I was told by a doctor (after abone density test) that I had the bones of an 80 year old. Not a good thing
for anyone but even worse for an active person. I asked him what I could do and he said nothing, just don't ride a horse. The bone loss was in my spine. Well! I was very upset. So my daughter and I did some reading and some research. I went on 1200 mgs of calcium per day and added weight
workouts at Katies Fitness twice or three times weekly to my routine of walking. Just last week I had another bone density test. I am now again osteopenotic. This was really good news. I had added bone and I intend to add more. I am so excited that I wanted to share with all of you."

"I joined Katie’s Fitness in September 2006 two nights a week mainly due to the later hours Katie offers her classes which afforded me the flexibility to still be with my family but work out after they had completed their homework and were almost ready for bed. 

Partaking in Katie’s classes, she has encouraged me to reach new levels, and the motivation she provides in class encourages me to work out on my own throughout the balance of the week.  We have a good laugh and socialize while enjoying a very serious class of instruction.  I have surprised myself with the limits I’ve reached, encouraged always to do so respecting my limits.  Katie’s assistance modifying classes during a period of extreme back pain (not attributable to exercise) enabled me to continue exercising while injured and to quickly bounce back to the same level of fitness enjoyed prior to my injury.

Hi Katie;
I just need to brag. :) Since it is raining and I couldn't go for a walk this morning, I made my own circuit in my house. I used my "blue" weights (which I now know the weight of!) and some of the exercises we have done in class. I'm feeling very proud of myself! Thank you...even though it's only been a couple weeks, I'm already feeling better.

Katie’s Fitness has infused new life into me since May of 2008. Initially all I was interested in were the Pilates classes but upon speaking to Kathy, a long-time member, she convinced me on taking up Fit Flex. It was a matter of weeks after I started noticing that my legs, arms, and abdomen feeling much firmer. Overall I can’t say enough good things about her comfortable and clean facility, and teaching techniques. The members are top notch, fabulous and fun women. Katie is extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful and very encouraging. She has created a challenging and exceptional straightforward plan for me towards achieving my goal. Who knew that lifting weights combine with Pilates could give you such a great feeling of happiness! I continue to feel stronger and confident and inspired to stick with the program. I am still enthusiastic as when I started. Keeping up my personal fitness with Kate’s Fitness is fundamental to maintaining my physical, emotional and mental health. Katie, thank you from the bottom of my heart on your ability to get me on the right track to better health.

Like many of my friends, I hate Summer – or rather the IDEA of summer.  Skimpier outfits, tighter tops, shorter pants,  Summer makes it hard to hide my trouble spots. My thighs, my middle, my arms. But summer also means my kids are home all day, every day! So I looked at my 15 year old and was determined for this summer not to be another boring sit on the couch, or hang out doing nothing summer. I needed to do something to help encourage my daughter to do something for herself. 

I thought if we both join a gym, it would mean some great mother-daughter time as well as a great way for the both of us to get back in shape.

That’s when I found Katies Fitness. Joining Katie’s Fitness was the best decision I have ever made for myself and my daughter.

It’s not a gym, It’s not putting my name on a waiting list for a machine, its not getting judged by 100 other woman who think it’s a competition, Its not going into debt to pay the fees, its not trying to use machines I know nothing about, Its not setting myself up for failure.

Katie’s classes are made up of these intimate groups of wonderfully fun and inspiring women.  The Flex Pilates and  Fit Flex classes are a real work-out. She is motivating and inspirational and really knows her stuff.  She cares about my daughter and I and she proves it every class.

After just a short period of time we are seeing real results!

If you are looking for real results and you don’t mind making a few great friends in the process, I highly recommend Katie’s Fitness.

December 2008 there I was sitting at Donisi Hair Salon and waiting for my hair dresser and there she was Marion Upshall sitting across from me looking fit, toned and absolutely breath taking. After catching up with her listening to her talk about Katie's Fitness, I asked her to place a call to Katie to let her know I would be calling her. With two weeks left to my winter family vacation, I called Katie and booked my consultation for Tues Jan 6th and it's history from there.
I feel amazing, I look amazing, and not that it's about people noticing me but it really feels nice to hear 'wow look at those abs', 'wow look at your arms', 'you look so good, WHAA!'. I thought I knew what toned was until Katie transformed my body. Katie's Fitness rocks!  I look forward to my personal training with her . I have to say I don't embrace every exercise but she really knows what she is doing and my body is totally responding, I see the changes, my clothes are getting bigger and my problem areas are becoming less obvious.
Katie, I will follow you to the end of the world. Thank you for making me happy with myself. You are my hero. "

Before I joined Katie's Fitness, I was constantly being disappointment with my attempts to achieve my fitness goals. I wanted toned muscles and to bascially be in shape which implys not panting frantically while running up the staris. I love being active and even still I was unable to attain my objective.  I started my classes still skeptical. After 3 weeks, 2 times per week, I noticed a difference. I enrolled for the 2nd session expecting to get greater results.  After these 10 weeks, my muscles are toned, my body is more tolerable to wieght endurance and my stamina is at an improved sharpness. I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror!  Thanks Katie!!"
